Jane is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist in Ontario with over 30 years of clinical experience working in child and adult mental health - 25 years on Vancouver Island and 10 years in Ontario. Jane holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from York University and a Masters Degree in Conflict Analysis and Management from Royal Roads University.
Her clinical work is guided by evidence- based approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness. Jane has completed certification in: Gottman Marriage Counseling, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Anger Management, and psychoeducational programs to support children and families with ADHD. Jane's love of people, and connection to community and family health is at the foundation of her social work journey. Within hospital and community settings she has worked with families and individuals with a wide range of concerns as they struggle with stress, workplace and family conflict, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, Autism, grief and often chronic illness.
