Jennifer is a Registered Occupational Therapist/Psychotherapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). Holding a Master’s degree from Western University, she has been practicing for more than 25 years, working clinically, doing research, and teaching.
Working with a broad range of clients, Jennifer’s interest lies in helping people do what matters to them. She works collaboratively with clients to develop customized strategies and practical solutions. Her approach is warm and non-judgmental, with a clear focus on supporting her clients to fully participate in all aspects of their lives. Jennifer draws on a number of evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Brief Coaching, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Mindfulness. Her work is trauma informed and neurodiversity affirming. Jennifer's practice areas include the consequences associated with post-traumatic stress disorder, dissociative disorders, anxiety, stress and burnout, depression, procrastination and perfectionism. With a strong commitment to best practice and learning, she continues to take several clinical courses per year. Jennifer collaborated with many of the clinicians at Central Ontario Psychology prior to joining our team, and having found her to be one of the best OTs we've ever worked with, we're thrilled to have her with us! She provides traditional Occupational Therapy services independently, and psychological therapy services under the supervision of a registered psychologist. Please contact our office for an intake. |
