Jenna Malone is registered as a Clinical and School Psychologist. She has been part of Central Ontario Psychology since we began in January of 2016. She has expertise in supporting clients with various health care needs (i.e., anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, etc.,), and provides therapeutic and assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults. Jenna also provided consultative psychometric services to The York Centre from 2016 until 2018. In September of 2017, Jenna acquired a position with the Halton District School Board, which she continues on a part-time basis.
Jenna received her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, receiving an Honors Bachelor of Science, before pursuing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Alder Graduate Professional School. During her Masters, Jenna gathered experience in both Family Health Team and Hospital settings, working with diverse populations. Jenna worked as a Neuropsychology Intern at the Inner City Family Health Team where she provided services to the homeless population in Toronto, primarily conducting neuropsychological assessments. Additionally, she attained two positions at the Hospital for Sick Children, where she worked in the psychology department servicing both Oncology and Transplant & Regenerative Medicine Departments. In her dual positions at SickKids, Jenna conducted psycho-educational assessments, and worked with children newly diagnosed with cancer. Her work in the Oncology department at SickKids continued beyond her master’s program and began her working career. She uses an integrative approach, including analytical, acceptance and commitment, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioural therapies. She uses a trauma-informed approach in her therapy. Jenna approaches clients from the lens of client-centered therapy, with unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness. Jenna is available for online services.
