Ingrid is a Registered Social Worker with over 30 years of clinical experience in adult mental health. She has previously held Director roles in both Clinical and Trauma Services for an international EAP. Ingrid holds a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto. Her clinical work is guided by a variety of evidenced-based approaches including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Ingrid’s approach in working with individuals is client-centered, collaborative, strength-based and multi-disciplinary. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), and Thought Field Therapy (TFT). Ingrid has extensive experience working with first responders after operational stress injuries and critical incidents both in debriefing and treatment. She specializes in; trauma treatment and assessment, stress and anxiety management, intimate partner violence, depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), end of life, traumatic grief, and loss. When people experience life stressors, it is not unusual to feel as though their lives are unravelling. Ingrid’s approach is to understand client’s life stories and how the world around them has shaped their self perceptions as they work toward healing not only themselves but also their interpersonal relationships. Ingrid believes it is her privilege and honour to be with people in the midst of profound pain while witnessing the resilience of the human spirit.
