Byron completed his undergraduate education at the University of Alberta and his Masters in Clinical and Community Psychology at the University of Calgary. He brings a diverse work experience to his role as psychotherapist, having worked in industry as a mason, electrician and in the Alberta oil fields, prior to pursuing graduate education. His clinical experience includes working as an outreach worker to high risk youth, providing employee and family assistance programming and addictions and mental health services to individuals in community and institutional settings. Byron has been in practice for some thirty years and has worked in a wide variety of settings and completed training in trauma resolution, motivational interviewing, mindfulness based interventions, emotion focused couples therapy and cognitive approaches to treatment. He strives to be collaborative in his work with individuals and couples while helping his clients experiment and utilize evidence based practices and interventions to address their concerns. In addition to being an RP, Byron is now an autonomous Member of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. He is registered as a Psychological Associate.
