Kaitlyn recently completed her course work at Yorkville University in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program. She completed her undergraduate education at York University where she received her BA in Sociology. She went on to obtain an Autism and Behavioural Science Graduate Certificate from Seneca College. Kaitlyn brings over 6 years of clinical experience working with individuals with mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders. Kaitlyn currently provides therapeutic services and assessments under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Douglas and Dr. Robin Mitchell as she completes her training to join the College of Registered Psychotherapists.
Kaitlyn’s approach to therapy is eclectic, client-centred, strength-based and collaborative. She is familiar with a wide variety of therapeutic techniques, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, grounding techniques, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. Her eclectic approach allows her to incorporate various therapeutic techniques to best address your individualized needs. Kaitlyn respects and incorporates diversity into her therapeutic practice, and encourages clients to talk about their difficulties and strengths.
