David holds a master's of science in psychology (MSc) from Lund University, Sweden. He is licensed as a psychologist by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare, and is currently pursuing supervised apprenticeship for prospective registration with the College of Psychologists in Ontario.
During his studies, David trained in both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy. David's approach to therapy is highly influenced by self-compassion, and the belief that how we relate to ourselves, as well as to others, is of major importance to mental well-being. He also often applies elements from other therapeutic modalities, such as metacognitive therapy (MCT) and mentalization-based therapy (MBT), depending on the needs of the client. David also has experience with cognitive assessments, as well as group therapy and couples therapy.
